With the win Mengão reaches 6 points in the Group B standings

On Thursday (2) at 10 a.m., Flamengo and Tokyo took to the synthetic turf of the Taubaté Arena in a match valid for the second round of the Mundialito de Clubes de Soccer Society. The team from Rio won the first match against Taubaté 4-3 and wanted to maintain their 100 percent record in the competition. The Japanese team, on the other hand, lost their first match and needed a win to rehabilitate themselves in the championship.

Two minutes into the game, Flamengo's Matheus received the ball on the edge of the box and served it to Hélcio, who shot left-footed into the left-hand corner of Tokyo goalkeeper Tadashi to make it 1-0. In the fifth minute, Mengo's Hélcio received a pass inside the area, took it on his chest and attempted a bicycle kick, but shot poorly and weakly, making it easy for Tokyo goalkeeper Tadashi to save.

In the ninth minute, Tokyo's Nanikawa stole the ball inside the area and shot past goalkeeper Thiago. The ball went into the right corner of the Flamengo goal and the keeper made a good save. With less than a minute gone, the Japanese team went on the attack and got the equalizer through Nanikawa. On the rebound, Daniel appeared free at the left post and shot the ball over the crossbar, wasting Flamengo's second goal.
