The foundation of the International Federation of Football 7 Society in 2004 became necessary due to the widespread practice of Football 7 in various countries. Additionally, a book was published in four languages — Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English — to meet the global demand for knowledge of the Official International Rules.

Next, we began the second phase: we applied for registration with GAISF (General Association of International Sports Federations), which brings together international sports federations and other global associations with the aim of promoting cooperation among them, coordinating their activities, and improving the dissemination of information. With this, we are focused on the continuous development of FIFOS.

In 2015, in response to the requirements of national sports laws and aiming to adapt to them, we amended our statutes to include variations of football. We took this opportunity to change the name of our organization to the International Federation of Football Soccer Society.
